Can you provide more information on what you have updated? For example have you updated a Droidbox supplied Q7 with a Droidbox firmware update (there hasn't been a new firmware for some time)?

There are plenty of independent performance reviews of both machines out there and they can be found on google in seconds. The t8s plus v2 runs the amlogic s905 processor not the s905x. I believe the processor is clocked at 2.0ghz not 1.5ghz.

The boxes you have seen are likely running the S905X processor or variant rather than the base S905 processor. As far as I am aware - and I have researched this - the freaktabs site has lots of information - it is not possible.

Mobdro (apk) is as good as anything. Using a vpn will help.
