The only thing I can think of right now is that word is set up to do background printing.
You can check this by going into word
and disable the Print in background option if it is set. The windows word path is File> Option> Advance> uncheck the option Print in background under Print section...
Here is an article on how someone created an unbranded firmware for machines running the s905x chip. I assume a similar process applies to other chipsets.
The author provides links to where you can get firmwares from although I doubt any of them are from original developers (e.g. amlogic)...
I think the best bet is to contact the box supplier for help
If it is a Droidbox supplied imxq pro mini, use their online support or email them - contact details on the main Droidbox page.
Is this the stock remote that came with the box?
They are usually pretty rubbish. In your case I would expect the button you mention to switch case.
Your only other option is to use the android on screen keyboard I think.
Maybe consider one of the remotes from the Droidbox range...
That's strange. I have a t8 mini and don't see this message.
Where does it appear? On boot up? After opening an app?
Is the message from Droidbox or another web site?
The more info you can provide the better it may be to resolve.
It could be your isp blocking your connection. Often an issue with s*y, v*rg*n and B*T users.
Have a look at this article.

If that doesn't work we will need to try something else.
Also make sure your repo...
As this is the forum for boxes supplied by Droidbox, I have no experience of "goobang" machines.
However, a few pointers.
1. Some older processors are incapable of running android 5.1 successfully. I suspect this is the case with the Goobang box which you say is still running android 4.4.2.
2...
It will be no surprise to hear that people on here will recommend boxes supplied by Droidbox - this is their user forum.
But a few pointers which apply to any machine.
1. Generally on these types of devices don't expect the same level of WiFi reception as on devices like phones and tablets. It...
Here is the amlogic page which references amlogic firmware code for the S905 processor.
http://openlinux.amlogic.com/Android/Mbox/5.1_ReleaseInfo
You will note that they are responsible for loading android onto the s905 processor. In this case, android 5.1.
You will also notice that the last...
Hello old friend.
I've just checked v1.2.7 of placenta here and everything displays as expected.
Is this possibly s repeat of that vpn problem on your router we had some fun resolving last year?
Msybe try a reboot of the router?
I very much doubt that build size makes a lot of difference on machines like the t8s v1 which are pretty powerful in any case.
But i am a firm believer in less is more - running a maximum of 10 or so addons added manually (combination of sports and movie addons). But i recognise that builds are...
Sometimes the volume keys on the remote control navigate the boot options so you could try that.
Did you by any chance create a recovery image before tinkering with the firmware update as you might find that useful if you have truly bricked the box?
This firmware is for the Librelec OS not android. Android firmware is provided by the chip/processor manufacturer (in this case amlogic). They never addressed the missing controls and for this historic firmware, never will.
I thank you.
