help with q7 please

Hi All
I am a complete old timer who needs help with my droidbox. I have had this for app 12 months. Internet , you tube, I player all ok. Show box gone awoll. I can select a film but will only allow me to watch trailer. Shows message............. Video not available
Try another server.

When I choose show box app a message appears [ update available] click update/remind me later. when I click update it just returns to unit start up screen.
The unit worked great for a time but then the films started to become unreliable.

Any ideas please. Remember it needs to be simple for me to understand.

Uninstall Showbox and download (in the Browser/Chrome app on your DroidBOX) the new version from http://rawapk.com/showbox-apk-download/ .
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ONLY CLICK THE "Download ShowBox .APK" button, other "Download" buttons are just bad (normally!) adverts.

To uninstall an application, head to the SETTINGS on your DroidBOX. It is normally an icon of a cog or two.
Now click APPS
Scroll down to Showbox, click it, click FORCE STOP and confirm (if available, don't worry if not), then UNINSTALL and confirm.

Once gone, open the ES FILE EXPLORER application on your device, close any messages it pops up, and then expand the LOCAL menu on the left, and click the DOWNLOAD link. You'll find the APK file you downloaded there, click it, then follow the onscreen steps to complete the installation.

Officially we don't support 3rd party apps, but the above should get it sorted.

If you encounter any difficulties, return to the SETTINGS area you were in before, click on the STORAGE entry this time, and make sure you have plenty of available space left.

**warning**
Showbox from many sites is currently ad infested and will affect your machine.
If you need to get it, download from the ares project forum apk section (showbox pro) and do not apply any updates (it will still work).
If you have it and are getting problems with pop up ads, download and run malwarebytes from google play. You will need to use malwarebytes to uninstall too as some versions out there do not allow normal deletion as they give themselves root permissions.

Well i guess showbox has now become an obsolete app. They aren't updating their database regularly and neither they have good support. I would advice to switch onto some good alternative of it like: yesmovies app or mobrdo

On what basis/evidence do you make that assertion?
It simply is not true.

Can you provide more information on what you have updated? For example have you updated a Droidbox supplied Q7 with a Droidbox firmware update (there hasn't been a new firmware for some time)?
