Got new box saturday. It updated today anf now only have a green screen

In which case contact Droidbox support (contact form at the bottom of the forum page). Or phone them. You can also use the live chat facility mon-fri during office hours. Have your purchase details to hand.
Assume you have the Droidbox iMXQpro v2?

Good luck. A factory reset normally resolves this type of problem. You did try a reset using the "toothpick" method rather than a soft reboot?
If you didn't, come back and i will post instructions.
At any rate keep us updated with the response you get from Droidbox as other users may benefit from the solution.

Plugged it back in and its working again. Although starts up direct to a blank kodi and now dbmc just crashes when i try to go into it. Weird.

A reset will always clear out kodi.
Persist with dbmc - it sometimes takes a few goes to "stick".

Before doing so, take my advice and talk to Droidbox. They may for example, be able to log in to your machine remotely and do some diagnosing.

Well i pulled plug for an hour. Box worked fine. Then it got hot and powered off again.
