When you say "watch things" i guess you are referring to unofficial (possibly illegal) apps rather than the apps which are available legally on the google play store.
If you know what you are looking for then maybe check out websites like seo michael and troypoint which have some guides on...
There should be a menu item in settings which will tell you the android version
Possibly under a system...about tab or similar.
If you have the original T8 then it will be running android 4.n.n. Not updateable.
The T8 plus S v2 runs android 5. Again not updateable.
Iplayer is not certified for...
Cant get on the site Sean but on google search it shows a partial message about reasons for closing (on 31/12) as a drop off in advertisers and daily users.
Have you tried without using your real debrid account? If so and the problem persists it might just be a problem on the hosting server. Also maybe DOA speedtest just to confirm your internet connection is good.
Are you running native apps on your television? In which case you should contact your TV manufacturers support team. If you are running on an android box like those supplied by Droix my first action would be to check the hdmi connections, change cables if necessary or try different HDMI ports.
You can get alternative launchers from the google play store. I use the Nova launcher. You can configure them how you want. I have a family photo as wallpaper and the apps i use most on the home screen (like on a phone)
A quick google suggests you would need Librelec 10.x to support Kodi 19 (matrix). You would need to research if this runs on your machine.
I do not use Librelec and never have so can offer no more advice other than use the Android version of Kodi which is proven to work with no observable...
After using these machines for many years I have found the "android" kodi perfectly useable and still do if that is any consolation. Certainly i have never used the libre elec version. So if you want to continue using the machine for Kodi then my solution is to switch to the Android version.
If you've just bought the box from Droix maybe drop their support a line. In the meantime maybe a factory reset would clean things up to allow a successfull reinstall.
Btw if you are downloading from the google play store you will not see the apk in your "downloads" folder.
You might also check...
Are you sure the app is not lurking in the "other" or "more apps" page rather than disappearing? It may be that you are simply downloading versions on top of your already existing install.
There may be some Android movie apks (check the seo michael website for a guide) but I don't know how compatible they are with Android 4.4.2. I can confirm they work with android 5 though.
Since the android box works ok when directly connected then everything points to an issue with the connector
Maybe direct connection is the solution but try a longer hdmi cable to avoid the hanging box issue.
Btw do you mean hdmi splitter not a connector?
Hi.
First of all the general case is that the processors on those older machines do not support later versions of Android
The Freaktab forum had some ROMs which claimed to update Android but if I recollect some functionality usually went AWOL (e.g wifi).
There were some Kodi 17 forks which...
I think it highly unlikely you will get Android 7 to work on these machines. There were a few enthusiast sites like freaktab that offered ROMS that purportedly allowed updated Android versions, but most people had issues getting android 5 to work, let alone later versions often losing wifi...
