Hi 8bitDev - I have great speed to my T8 Mini via Ethernet. But I also have two x box 1 devices constantly on with the kids using them. Are you saying then that it might be best to manage them? if so can you offer any advice coz I would also love to know if they can be manage so I get the best...
Sorry I cant help you on this but who is your provider? 53MB upload is excellent and even 34MB upload is excellent. Im on 100MB Download and pushing 6mb Upload.
Hi there,
I upgraded to the T8 Mini. TBH its enough for me. Its got a S905 chip so its nice and future proof for all the new kodi releases and mine came with 16.1 installed. I only use the openelec side of it which is Jarvis 16.1 - I can fault it. If your like me and dont need the extra HD space...
May sound stupid, but I have just noticed that the T8 Mini uses Hdmi 2.0 as opposed to the older spec. I only have the old type HDMI cables connected - used them for years!!
Will I see OR is there any advantage at all in upgrading? bearing in mind I do not have a 4k TV but all my ethernet is...
I heard the T8 Mini has had some issues with Wireless and I tested this and kept getting kicked out. Gave up in the end. BUT wired Ethernet is spot on. Im on VM and with the speed check Im getting full allocation and if not very much close to it. So Ethernet all the way for me I think.
Sean99 - Can you possible explain what I am disabling? I am running Jarvis 16.1 openelec and I dont want to screw anything up. What is it and what does it actually do? I hope you dont mind but I would love to know before I do actually disable anything.
Cheers for your quick reply.
Dave
Hi everyone,
Although this has not effected the running of my T8 Mini - I keep getting this message on the bottom of my screen after it boots from Openelec - Pulse-Eight CEC Adapter failed to initialise.
If it helps I have no interest in booting from Android and always use openelec.
Can anyone...
Wow, Thank you so much. Ill change my viewing lists tonight. Been hoping I could change them permanently as I dont care too much for different list views. So long as I can see whats on offer I am happy.
Thank you again
Dave
@SilentlyScreaming - Oops sorry about that - I thought differently. Didnt read it correctly. Mine does find NAS excellent and quick. I use it all the time to view stored films on NAS.
In relation to the above pics - is there a way of changing the view and keeping it the same every time we log in to see the lists? IE I like list view but I have to go into menu on far left everytime to change it from whatever it defaults to?
If this helps you - I have a WD Live Hub 1TB linked to my network. I can see it on my mac upstairs and drop films onto the drive. Its connected to TV via HDMI. All I did was go into videos then files and search for the drive - it found it and linked. I can see it everytime now.
Hope this is some...
I kept getting that message on Exodus and Specto - Opensource needed linking. I linked it once and ive never had a problem until last night - but I ignored the message and all links played fine.
Glad you got another. Cant understand the clock problem as mine has always displayed correct time even after switching off and on every night.
Weird that
