Can anyone tell me what the main difference is between these boxes?

Apologies for the delay in reply. The DroiX X3 is our branded model and has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage as standard. While the X96 MAX+ has this configuration option, it does cost more money. The X3 has a G10 air mouse as standard and X96 has a standard IR remote. The X3 also comes with Android and iPhone/iPad sharing options so you can share photo, video, music and remote control the X3 from your mobile device.

Sorry no, we have not done benchmarks. We have a refund period so if you are not happy with the device you can return it back to us. Both devices perform well for this price range so I dont think you will have any issues with the performance on either.
