Yeah with these remotes they are battery powered, so simply insert a brand new pair of batteries and it should be good to go after plugging in the USB dongle.

I have not tried this so can't confirm if this works or not. But it may be the remote OK button is not keeping a constant signal for it to act like a long press, and is sending repeated short press signal. If it is possible could you try with a USB mouse or another remote.

It sounds like the HDMI CEC is switching the device back on when you are using the TV. If you go to Settings -> Droid Settings -> HDMI CEC and then switch off CEC Switch, it should then stop it switching back on. I hope that resolves the issue.

You may need to add the GBA BIOS to the SD card folder for the emulator.

Are you loading the correct games for the emulator you are choosing? For example if it is a SNES emulator then you need to load the SNES games for it.

If it is working with a hotspot then it could be that the devices are too far away from the wifi access point. How far away is it? Are there any walls, floors or large furniture for example in between?
