See your point and that is a pain, I have this box and it's been good to me. Does your father in law have the same box. Try clearing cache in the Xunity maintenance tool in programs and see if this helps you.

The OTA Updater is not used that often and normally an error means it's up to date. If your box is 2 weeks old then I could imagine you are up to date. The last update fixed the login problem with the Play store. The T8-S was last updated in Nov 15. I'm sure someone from droidbox will also...

Also go to videos then underneath video add-ons and click here see if it's here. If it is then go system, appearance and setting. Then on your right scroll down to shortcuts and select it again. Good luck

The might have been deleted of kodi, you might have got the message saying a add-on is no longer working, do you want to keep it if you clicked on 'No' then it's gone. Also what version of kodi are you using, go to system and underneath system info and in the bottom right corner it says.

The android kodi is separate to Openelec, so any changes aren't mirrored on that side. Some people prefer openelec as it runs with no background apps running which can slow you down. That's why it reboots on start up. If you haven't run a wizard on that side I recommend the wookie lite and you...

You could get the droidbox Playon and this is portable and can take it everywhere. Plus you can play games to, and then plug it into the TV by a HDMI mini.

Does your box work OK outside of kodi, ie: do you have Showbox or MoviesHD. Also inside kodi what version are you running..to find this go to system, then then the drop down menu. Then system info, then on your bottom right it should say either kodi 15.2 or xbmc 14.2 or any other number after...

Thanks I'm just waiting for droidbox to get back. Is your box from droidbox as I've had mine since Xmas. It's running well and got the latest kodi biuld running sweet as well as a few more. Just after 10 mins I get the bell sound saying it needs updating. Thanks for the offer.
