T8 Mini is an excellent box in my opinion. Future proof.

I too added my own connection settings - I only use Openelec and Ive only ever done this the once. No problems after that.

Just for the record - 15 seconds straight into linux

Over heating???? Ive never encountered this at all on mine. I do check regular and its always cool to the touch.

Also one more question please. Ive adjusted settings on my OE system to run nice with my TV such as frame rate, and other things ETC. Will I have to make a note of them or will these settings which I have changed stay on if I update to Librelec? Dave

This happened on an old box I had with the TV I have now. I replaced the HDMI stock one which came with the box. I just replaced it with a bog standard hi speed ultra thin cable one from Asda. Spot on after that. £9.00 it cost.

If thats the TWITCH addon extension for browsers!!!! then I got rid of that almost straight away - what I nightmare I had with it.

Thanks for that. I was just wondering thats all if its worth now moving on from Jarvis 16.1 to Librelec. I am happy but I am not sure of the actual benefits from updating at the moment unless it was significant. Thanks.
