Don't use zero cache on boxes with less then 8GB as it will cause it to freeze or crash. Then the only way around is to do a factory reset. Do as above or just try deleting advanced XML and see how it goes.

After first boot it's normally faster then the old T8-S.... First boot it installs apps plus the start up wizard. Great box..

Openelec and LibreELEC are best for DD HD and DTS master HD. On the android side it's something that's missing, but you shouldn't loose anything when you switch over. Plus you can just power off in LibreELEC and next time you boot up it should go straight to LibreELEC.

Check the router as sometimes the security setting can stop this. Make sure they are off and parent controls too. See if this helps.

The arrows are next to OK on the remote, normally used to move around the menus.

On your remote control you should have a cursor key, push this and then you can move around using the arrows. Now just go on the search bar and click here and type in what your after. If you push the cursor key again it will turn off

Think it only auto updates if you have the right specs ie: running lolipop and above.. what I've read anyway.

Did you restart your box after the wizard finished, as this is how it installs. Some ask you to power off using the power supply.
