Are you sure the firmware is from the chip/processor manufacturer (amlogic), I ask as I would say it would be the box manufacturer, as the firmware has to control other devices that are present on the box, that may not be from amlogic. I am new here. So I ask, how do you know this? (I have...

Sure that is accurate ?, as far as I have known USB Storage devices appear all the same to a computer, they all use a generic USB Storage driver (program/software).
