VIP remote copy/paste

I have a droidbox VIP remote. I wonder if it has the function to copy/paste. Let's say : I go into Chrome, I copy a link (copying is not a problem by clicking the menu button) and I want to paste it in Add Source in File Manager. I can't manage to paste it. Is there a way to do this or is this not possible ? Or am I that stupid ? Tnx.

I have not found a way. It would be useful if Kodi supported copy and paste.

There is no ctrl key on this vip remote. That's the problem.

Depending on the controller being used, worth a shot:
Ctrl+V
Shift+Insert
Long Click of OK button if text cursor has selected text, or long press of Left Mouse Button/equivalent. In either case, check for a paste icon towards top of screen if nothing near cursor.

You could also see whether https://droidbox.co.uk/how-to/remapping-remote-control-buttons-in-android/ allowed any paste type commands to be mapped to another button you can live without. If that didn't work, there is the Kodi Keymap Editor program add-on - http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Keymap_Editor .
