Update from 15.2 on a t8-s

Hi all, could anyone tell me how to update kodi from 15.2 to the next stable version on my t8-s model?

With openelec we will have to wait for a Ota update as kodi is embedded, if it's for android then just Uninstall 15.2 and download the latest which I think is 16.2

First uninstall kodi 15.2 then down load the latest version of kodi (kodi 16.1) then using the app installer install the new version of kodi but uninstall kodi 15.2 first
