Update Android Side of Box

Just resurrecting this box...I can see there is a final update for the Libre Elec....Is there an update for the Android part...I notice that the media player is still based on a very early version of Kodi...is there any update for this?

You can later versions of kodi from the google play store. If you have android 5 or later you can get kodi 18.3 - the latest.

Thanks for the prompt reply...was just wondering about the Media Centre part of the Droid Box...its an earlier version of Kodi...

Ah. Your referring to DBMC. Droix (slightly) tweaked version of SPMC - itself a version of kodi tuned specifically for android boxes. As far as i know development of spmc stopped sometime ago. Later versions of kodi run pretty well under android now so there is no real need for a tweaked version.
You can safely run vanilla kodi.
