Unrooting a T8 box

I'm trying to run Sky Go on my T8 box but it says it's rooted! Any reason why it needs to be rooted to run Kodi?

As I understand it sky go doesn't work on rooted devices. That said I believe there is software in sky go apps which prevent signals being sent to TVs from tablets and phones.

if you get it (sky go) to work be sure to come back and tell us and i think they still use hdmi blocking on mobile devices.
