Trouble with NeoGeo / Puzzle Bobble

I'm having difficulties with a specific game - Puzzle Bobble.
I tend to use XMAME - and have 98% games working - but I can't seen to get Puzzle Bobble going. I'm pretty sure I have the correct ROM - XMAME recognises it - but it just won't work.

No problem... I'll switch to a dedicated NeoGeo emulator - I thought...
But I can't get either the NEO4ALL or GNGEO running games.

Anyone have any luck with either NEOGEO emulator - or care to recommend another? (or indeed, managed to resolve any known issues with PuzzleBobble on XMAME??

RE: XMame issues
There's a few issues that could be present here:

• Try a different version of XMame (there are three versions of XMame in the RG350 port - see here for an outline: https://droix.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360011568538 )
• The Puzzle Bobble version may not be from a compatible romset (see above guide again)
• It may just not run on XMame (just because its in the list of games doesn't guarantee it'll run well or even work - there's too many games for the developer to have verified functionality for)

RE: NEOGEO emulation issues
Can you elaborate further? Emulating NEOGEO games is the same as most other non-arcade titles. All you should need to do is get the correct ROM file and point the emulator at it.
