Though I set the time in 12hr format it still shows 24hr format in the frond of the box.
Any way to make it showing the time in 12hr format?

You don't say what box you have or whether it is dual boot (android/Librelec). At any rate, here is an explanation of what is going on.

one more thing: how to delete downloaded files from ES explorer? I tried w/t the remote and w/t the vip remote.

Navigate to the downloads folder. Highlight the file you want to delete - should see a small box to the top right of the file icon. Click on the box and it should turn green, maybe a green tick. You can do this to multiple files. On tool bar at bottom of screen are various file manipulation icons like copy, cut and delete. So hit delete.

Double tap enter/ok/ highlighted over whatever your choice

when I hit on a file, it shows :enter path, name
and then: cancel, market install.
no option to delete

Need to quick click and long press over a highlighted item in es file explorer until a box appears top right with a tick, then just click delete at the bottom, your way is just opening it.

Long clicks (OK button or Left mouse button or equivalent) can also be the equivalent of a right click, worth trying with apps when you can't get a context menu up with the Menu button on the remote or a C press on a QWERTY keyboard.
