LibreELEC team are saying OpenELEC is a hobby for the one guy left working there.

Maybe a good option would be for DBX to release OE at 6.95.3.zip file that we can flash in recovery then we have the option of OE or LE.

A lot of people were really quite vocal wanting Kodi 16 (outside of Android), LibreELEC was the only route at the time.

There will be an announcement (hopefully later today) regarding a LibreELEC Update BETA test for the T8-S Plus and T8-S as well.

But OpenElec had a beta v16,1 for a long time, and its works fabulously well on other boxes - so now we see that DBx are willing to put out a Beta version of Librelec to get past the OTA issue for some people who like me cannot update ... clearly there is a risk factor to be considered

My box gets a blank screen every time I do - so am back on openelec kodi 15.2

boot to openelec add the .tar file to the update folder turn the box off and reboot it, it will start the update.

when i do as the video suggests by file manager / explorer with the box ip address when in openelec i dont get the screen you see in the video i get a sort of online remote control page

i did exactly that booted box to openelec then connected and i get the above screenshot
