It only finds my hard drive in libreelec NOT in Android not in the settings two clogs it only finds the 32g internal memory not my harddrive

Im in a similar situation. I installed the 1.0tb hdd followed instructions (settings, more settings, storage) but the hdd is not there?
my box is a T8-SPlus ( 5.1.1). I attempted to check in LE but it opens on a page with droid at the top and LE at the bottom and thats it... wont go any further and now i cant get into android! Please help

Try this.

In LibraELEC, you can see the drive if you add it as a source in File Manager / Add Source / Browse / Windows SMB / LibraELEC, (your Hard Drives Name).

Name it and press ok. You should see it now so long as it is formatted correctly (ExFat or Fat32)

@holty To swap between Android and LibreELEC, you can access the recovery menu
Follow the steps at
but select the option at the bottom to boot into Android, rather than factory reset.

A factory reset might help you get into LibreELEC, if not, check for an OTA update
