Hi, In relation to the new update - Ive read the instructions and it refers to being in Android - I am only using Openelec. Can someone tell me if I have to be in android to get the updates and future updates or can I update in openelec.
I am running 16.1 at the moment but if there are firmware updates then I would like to keep my box right up to date.

You would need to he in android. Most of the updates are updating or adding new android apps. At some point there is likely to be a new firmware with an openelec update.

Thank you. Can you tell me what the latest Openelec is running as Im running 16.1. So am I right in thinking then that I cant set the system to update automatically while I am in Openelec?
Thinking I should have gotten a box with just openelec on and not android.
Is it easy to update from Android
Dave
PS hope you dont mind me asking, ive always used openelec so have never dabbled in the android side.

Well you can check in openelec - system - one of the submenus will give you your kodi version.

I have always updated from within android. It is no big deal.

No problem dave. You are talking to someone here who struggled to move from ms:/dos to windows 3.1

Nigelar - I carried out the update - seems I am all up to date. So Ill just keep a look out and it was as easy as you said.
Ill still not bother with Android other than updating.
Thanks again
