Hi since updating my q 7 droidbox I am having a problem with storage space if I try to watch anything it freezes halfway through. I have cleared the cache etc tried reinstalling it nothing fixes it. Any ideas anyone?
How about the other preinstalled Android apps that comes w/ the device Kaz, like ShowBox, MobDro and Youtube, have you tried them? Are they working properly when you try to play a movie or a video?
When you mentioned having reinstalling something, was that XBMC itself, or a firmware?
I'd first try a factory reset, then re-run the DroidBOX after waiting 20 minutes once the launcher's homescreen appears.
See https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/how-to-access-your-droidboxs-recovery-menu/ for details on finding the recovery switch.
Once you're in the Android Recovery Menu, select the Wipe data/factory reset option and then confirm you're certain. Once this completes, reboot, complete any set up screens presented, and select which launcher you want.
Now is the waiting for 20 minutes part. Run the Wizard, selecting the X7/Q7 pack, once it completes and update messages stop appearing, pull the power lead out of your device. Reinsert it, and check if videos now play properly and there is a decent amount of space left.
If not, e-mail us ( [email protected] ), with the info mentioned here - http://droidboxforums.com/threads/what-to-include-if-you-need-to-e-mail-us.364/ incl a link to this thread - https://droidboxforums.com/threads/storage-space-problem.941/
Hi I reinstalled xbmc I don't know how to reinstall the firmware. I have done what you said above and it seems to be ok. I will update you if I have any further problems. Thanks for everyone's help, it's much appreciated.
