Michael, you could use the composite video output on your X7, but the quality would be a LOT lower than via the normal HDMI connection. If you were watching cartoons or the TV isn't huge, it might be good enough to watch. Just don't forget to switch back to the HDMI connection when not using the Sky Go app.
It might be worth a quick experiment (see this thread - Using DVI / Phono (RCA) / SCART Instead Of HDMI), but you may also come up against Sky's decision to not allow their app to display video on rooted Android devices.
Check the box your X7 came in, the factory normally includes a 3.5mm (standard headphone plug size) to triple phono (red, white and yellow, though white may be swapped for black) lead in there.
