showbox controls missing using the T8 remote

Picture and sound quality excellent on Showbox through the droidbox T8, but I cannot get the popup control bar when watching a movie or use the pause button on the controller. So no pause rewind etc.
The remote is the one that comes with the droidbox and works fine for everything else. I also have a eSynic wireless keyboard and mouse which has the same problem as the remote.

Any suggestions?

This is rather specific app problem than the remote itself.If you think that remote is faulty you can easily test this with another app.
Please refer to official app developer regarding this problem.

As above from 8bitDev, however if you find the app's developers aren't interested in ensuring their apps work well on non-touchscreen devices, you may find https://droidbox.co.uk/how-to/fully...face-on-your-android-powered-droidbox-device/ is worth a try. You can set your eSync controller to emulate a touch/tap on the screen.
