No worries Sean, I'm sure you put in enough effort so we can afford to wait a few days. I did notice that Maverick shows as not working, and not sure that I did a fresh install so might download again. Gonna stick with 16.1 for the time being as see no reason to change. Thanks again.

Maverick has updated to v2.8 and is one of the fixes I need to do in both builds, I forgot to install its own repo when the streamteam repo split. If you have done a fresh 16.1 install with a fresh start enabled when I do the update you will get a notification from ares saying there is a newer version of my build available to download

Loaded kodi 17.1 and ares wont run. It looks for an update and then gives me some silly programs screen but not the normal Ares screen. Any ideas?

Got it. It just took like 20 minutes for it to come up for some weird reason. Loading Sean's Build now.

I do find it interesting that movies buffer and are not in 1080p or even HD when they are on ppv and blue ray. WTH??? No hackers out there anymore? I feel like I'm in a Tron movie. I'm guessing that is just kodi and the sources that are all pretty bad. Kodi worth the trouble? I'm starting to have my doubts. Does anyone have their android box and kodi actually work over 50% of the time with even some decent content without paying for a service?

Try going into areswizard and then tweeks and set up an XML. Just follow the instructions in Advanced setting wizard.
See if this helps you, if not you can delete the XML setting by using the Xunity maintenance and tweeks then delete Advanced XML.
Also have a play with the Acceleration setting to see if they help...

Movies addons are generally the most stable of all addons in kodi, the buffer usually occurs when watching live streams.

If most things buffer for you in kodi try what David suggested, have you always had the buffering or just since you installed builds or updated Kodi?

Ares Wizard takes about 20 minutes to open through your build. That doesnt seem normal. Then after about 20min it gives me the Unstable version of Kodi error. Ideas? Also I'm getting some youtube overuse error and I never use youtube on here.

Do a speed test on your box, it shouldn't take that long...
Also try clearing cache and packages in maintenance in areswizard to, this should help a little.

Speedtest is still 90Mbps down. It's never my speed.
Ares checks for updates then blank screen for 20min still after doing what you suggested above. I'm guessing it's kodi 17.1 or something as it never did this on 17.0 or 16.1. Other ideas?

You could use DBMC 16.6 it's on droidbox Market, then run a wizard see if this works for you...

I may reinstall 16.1. Not sure yet. Something is wonkie. How do you uninstall Ares? Maybe reinstalling it will work.
