hi all,
i live in the uk.
i am using my new android box in tenerife and having a problem with the screen size.

1. it is ok using kodi addons [ tv shows, movies ]

2. it is too large using android apps, home page, browser and settings.

i have tried adjustments in 'display' [ zoom , resolution ] without success.

my exact same other box in uk is fine ...no problem.

could someone please comment on this issue.
thanks

tx angela.

when i am watching normal tv [ bbc itv c4 etc ] the screen size is perfect.

the tv mode is 16.9

i have set this mode as a default in my kodi addons and the screen size is perfect.

when i go back to 'home' / apps / browser the screen is too big.
in 'settings' i have tried the adjustments suggested in your link [ i have monochrome ] without success.

What's the make and model 0f the TV please @rjb100 ?
If it happens to be a 1366x768 display in it, then make sure automatic HDMI mode is turned off, try 720p at 50/60Hz. From there, screen size adjust until nothing is lost. However, you'll likely end up with 24 pixels of black top and bottom (with screen size at 100%) at least. (768-720=48 ... 48 between top and bottom=24 each).

my tv is a panasonic viera.

i cannot find the hdmi mode you suggested on my tv settings.

on my android box in 'settings' there is an auto mode on the same page as the 'pixel' choices.
in auto the screensize is too big.

i turned off auto and selected 720/60
i then alterd zoom in/out.....it has a range of 80 to 100%

at 100 it is too big.
at 80 i can just about manage to see the icon bar at the bottom of the 'home' page.......it is not perfect.

Can you let us know the actual model of your TV please @rjb100 ? If you're not sure, have a look on the back of the display for a label. The steps above were intended for your DroidBOX, rather than your TV, apologies for the confusion.

Here we go, your TV has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 (sometimes called WXGA with TVs, widescreen version of the old 1024x768 resolution). http://www.howtogeek.com/224657/why-does-the-1366x768-screen-resolution-exist/ has some info on the interesting resolution.

So selecting 720p (1280x720) on your DroidBOX is the closest you'll get to matching with the TV. From there, check the available modes on your TV, look for screen ratio, over/underscan, 1:1, wide/smart/4:3/16:9/16:10 options.
