RII MX6 ISSUE

I am having issues with this remote that I purchased to use with T8 SE LIBRELEC.
I have paired it with remote that came with receiver according to instructions ( instructions not great!)
Receiver will not power on and off using RII MX6 , have to use original remote for those functions.
Also menu button does not work when trying to get more information when using kodi addons.
Can someone please confirm if I have paired remote correctly and if not, please be kind enough to post clearer instructions than the ones provided with remote.

OK, I've not got one, so just checked https://droidbox.co.uk/rii-mx6-backlit-mini-keyboard-airmouse-remote.html , it doesn't look like this remote control can learn infrared (IR) remote control codes from other remotes. You need to send an IR code to turn on most of their devices, as there won't be anything using the USB socket the RII MX6 remote control's dongle is plugged into, until it powers up. Might be worth emailing the company to double check if I'm correct with your specific model and remote combination.

Regarding Kodi and button's functions, you can re-assign the keys to new functions by installing the Keymap Editor add-on, https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=168767 is an old post (pre-Krypton version of Kodi in the screenshots). If you need a hand with installing, let us know how far you get and someone will run you through it.

Hi ChrisM,
Many thanks for your reply but I have bought remote from Droidbox and it says that it's compatible with T8 SE LIBRELEC as well as other boxes that you are selling.
Is this not the case then?

Am I to presume that Rii MX6 is not fully compatible with my T8 SE Librelec box?

Ok, apologies for my lack of patience.
I just presumed that since this remote was sold by Droidbox that I would be given a quick answer to a simple question,didn't realize that remote has to be tweaked to be fully compatible.
