Rg350 and old controllers?

has anyone used old controllers on the rh350?
I got original Xbox, PlayStation and ps2 controllers so was thinking of getting USB adapters and then usb to usb-c adapters.
Anyone tried it - will it work?
Or anyone got any recommendations for kit that would work?
am I just better getting usb-c controllers

A USB C to USB (Type A) OTG Cable will work with USB controllers. The issue is that the emulator may need to have support for them to read input from them. From what I have seen only one or two emulators support this, Stella the Atari emulator and possibly one other one.

Will new usbc controllers work then? And if so do I need specific models?

Hoping to play two player games - but not the end of the world if not.

There will probably not be any issues with Type C controllers, but it would still need the emulators to support external controllers.
