Hey,
Had this box just less than a week, Been having a issue with the sound which is still not resolved still trying, But led me on to this more important issue really with the power supply.
As I have been testing different cable setups etc to resolve sound issue. I have noticed when removing and imputing the power cable witch I have done a lot to the box its sparking as its going in.
Can anyone else confirm the same issue? I am not sure if its bec its hitting the metal casing or something more.
Did a little google on this, Not a lot out there but the few where very alarming with house fires from these power supplies I really do not wish for this to happen to anyone!
I was thinking of returning or getting a better supply to be 100% safe can anyone recommend?

I have this box and I've never had any audio issues, how have you got it connected up. I just use the HDMI for audio and picture. As for your power I would never put a live cable into a box.
Unplug or switch off on the wall first to be safe.
Have you tried play with the sound setting, also check you've got the latest software on your box.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me, I am talking about when its plugged in first without power on. Seems to flash/spark sometimes as its turned on, it's a bit of a worry to be honest more so after seeing a few others with the same make box having things melt and set fire!
As regards the sound I can not put my finger on it, if its the Box,TV or AV Amp. Using the ARC from TV as AMP is not 4k but its having huge drop outs on home screen and kodi, Have to restart everything or change a setting back and forth to get it working. Not ideal. I don't have this issue with any of my other stuff setup the same way so I am leaning to box as the issue.
Two other think that is disappointing is the remote, Works amazing when its on as its connected via the dongle. But the infrared on this thing is shocking have to be about 2cm away from it, to turn ON or OFF. The SD card If you want to dual boot sticks out the side, could've just had a nice Miro SD slot that pushes all the way in nice and neat.
I have emailed support a few days go and not had a reply and called up but no one was available. I am wanting now to return this box and not to sure on how to do so... can you help on that matter?

Ok, I use HDMI to my Blu ray player which then I split to my Denon amp.
Sounds to me as your sending audio from your tv this is probably the issue is. Does your amp have HDMI imput... and try this to see if it works.
As for your power are you using the plug that came with your box as I'm using the UK plug and never had this issue.
As for the sd card sticking out thats just what it is im afraid.
If you use the 'contact us' at the bottom of the page I'm sure they will get back to you as soon as they can about sending your box back. If you have an old amp with no HDMI or 4k pass through might be worth getting a box with a coax or optical output so you can send picture to your tv and audio to your amp from the box. The GT king has optical output and has a plastic case aswell.

Until you emailed us again on Friday (linking this forum post), there had been no correspondence from you since some pre-purchase enquiries. Are you sure you were sending them to the right email?
Occasionally people respond to the automatically generated shipping/invoice emails. This means the reply gets placed into a large inbox that isn't checked often.

The best way to email us is to use [email protected].
