Parental Controls for newbies

Hi All,

I'm just waiting for 2x T8-s to arrive and wanted to know if there is any way I can lock it down for my kids?

Hello,
Yes, you can add parental controls Inside XBMC or Kodi.
If you will install Wookie Retro pack then you can follow the instructions below to set Parental controls inside XBMC or Kodi:
1. Inside Kodi or XBMC click on system>system
2. Change Setting level to Expert.
3. Then the option will appear “Master lock”.
4. Click on Master lock, at right there will be one option “Master code and settings, click on it.
5. After clicking on it you can see the option Master lock Disabled.
6. Click on Master lock and it will give you menu with options.
7. Then click on Numeric password and enter your password and re enter password.
8. Then choose the window you want to lock like if you want to lock Videos window then click on it and it will be locked.

Wookie's packs also have a Kids profile quite often, depending on the skin you're using look for Logout/Profile/Switch Skins (confusingly, if you see that in Kodi's homescreen, it links to Profiles).

You can set up kids profile, so that's the only content the kids can view on the box, with the Master Lock.
