Is there a rom that can be flashed on the Droibox T8, "not the T8 plus" to have openelec loaded

Not from Droidbox as I asked the same question a while back, ended up buying a T8s plus and sold the T8. Great move!! Ps. I don't use the openelec side anyway as it ain't all that after all imo.

Well there maybe Roms available online but it may screw up the box or it may go fine but droidBOX is not responsible if anything goes wrong.

@Dave4bren If you are a) Comfortable tinkering with technology, b) Your warranty has either finished or isn't important to you then https://github.com/codesnake/OpenELEC.tv/releases could help you on the way.

Please note DroidBOX won't be able to offer any sort of official support for any problems encountered, you may end up accidentally bricking your device, and the official openelec team have nothing to do with that link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-openelec-amlogic-based-tv-boxes-t2832289/ is a good place to start your research, if you're CERTAIN you want to try. Check if anything at https://github.com/codesnake/OpenELEC.tv/issues puts you off.

If SSH, TAR and GitHub are meaningless acronyms/names to you, I'd recommend sticking with Android.

Once again, the above information is NOT an official recommendation, and please heed the warnings regarding bricking and warranties.
