openelec kodi skin shotrcut frozen

been using the black nova skin but today the screen froze with skin shortcut error,is there anyway to reset the openelec settings without doing a factory reset .skin loads up but no settings showing just the background screen.you have to goto recovery option to boot back into android as there is no other option available.i cant get to elec settings so I cant reset.its not looking good ,I am really starting to regret buying this newer model . I have had my x7ultimtate for years and never a problem.so many issues with this openelec I am considering sending it back

Hi, with the black nova skin you could try pressing the "s" button on keyboard/pad to get the settings up, if you can select add-ons > then my add-ons > then program add-ons > in program add-ons you can select your openelec config or use the Fresh Start add-on, you will lose all your add-ons in openelec and have to configure it again, but i think the android side on your box will be ok with the fresh start saving you doing a factory reset.

thanks angela but after some messing about I got the settings up and switched back to confluence,s wasn't working at first but after numerous reboots it finally got me into setting,phew I have been using kodi for years and never had so much trouble
