OK, testing complete:
I ran the DroidBOX Wizard (model-specific and Fix Me Now packs) on each first. Attempted to watch the Times Now stream. Checked Suvarna if Times Now stream failed.
Q7 with Frodo XBMC: 3m26s and all was fine.
Q7 with Gotham XBMC: Won't play. Suvarna stream does.
M6 with Frodo XBMC: 2m and got bored, seemed to be working fine
X7 with Gotham XBMC: First couple of frames of video, then stopped, Suvarna stream working fine.
Kindle Fire2 with Gotham XBMC (original APK from XBMC site): Won't play. Again the Suvarna stream does.
Windows 7 PC (64-bit) with Gotham XBMC (again from XBMC site): Times Now won't play, Suvarna does.
So it looks as though Times Now and Suvarna maybe use different codecs/formats for their streams. In Frodo, both types of streams work. In Gotham, on three different devices (two of which was using the vanilla Gotham build of XBMC, not DroidBOX's APK), the Times Now stream wouldn't play.
So, the next step would be to search MashUp's forums (
http://forum.mashupxbmc.com/forumdisplay.php?9-MASHUP-ADDON ) for similar threads (along the lines of worked in Frodo, broken in Gotham), and if none exist then you could create one there. It may be that the people who found these streams (or MashUp's authors) analyse the problem and think something needs to be altered in XBMC itself, rather than the MashUp add-on.
Sorry I wasn't able to fix the problem, but we have at least narrowed it down, and with the testing done, hopefully saved you and the MashUp forum admins a bit of time.
