Need latest/current AMlogic M8 img file

I managed to salvage 4 out of 7 DOA Amlogic M8's using the USB method and an " *.img " file (which uses a different *.img file than the SD card method)!

Only problem is I cant find a current M8 " *.img " file (about 700+/- mb approx) with Kodi 15.2 and/or up!

Also as it stands the IR remote doesn't work, but a wired remote will!

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the latest M8 *.img file? thanks.

The M8's open up with a "Google TV" logo and have KODI 14.0!

Let me ask everyone this . . Can i take a working M8, capture the image and then re-write it to these problem child M8's! If so how? and with what?

This is NOT in any way an official recommendation, but have you checked if the files found over at h**ps://www.entertainmentbox.com/droidsticks-latest-u-m8-firmware-download/ (change the ** to tt) are suitable?
Regarding backing up a device's firmware to another device, I've not seen mention of it. Does the M8 devices have ADB via USB (in hardware)? If so, you could look at the top answer here - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19225467/backing-up-android-device-using-adb

silently screaming, those files are for the "SD" card method and will not work with the USB tool program.

Try searching china gadgets in google and see if they have an M8 f/w for use with the usb tool.

sean99, those files/M8N download, at the link you provided are for the SD Card un-brick method, which does not work.
I need to load a SINGLE *.img file into the USBTool program first!

Have a hunt round on that site as I loaded 4.4.2 kk f/w using rkbatch tool from there on an x7 a few years ago.

I sent them("ChinaGadget") an email as to what i need. I'm under the impression that the rkbatch tool was for the "Rockchip" based TV boxes.

i know this is old but i'm just messing around with a M8 i found were you able to find that .img file to use with the USB method?

It might be worth just googling "M8 tv box firmware" and seeing what random downloads you can find. His post is six years old...
