I have recently bought a secondhand MXQ Pro 4X and I am unsure whether it has an Amlogic S905 or S905X. Upon booting, it shows the Amlogic with a mention of S905. However, it is also running Android 6.0.1. and I found a thread somewhere in which someone said that boxes running android 6.0.1. usually have the S905X chip. I am considering installing a custom firmware ROM, but need to make sure that I have the ROM for the right processor, to make sure I do not brick the device.
Is there any way I can make sure what version I have? When I open the device, I see R329Q V2.0, but putting this in Google only leads to Spanish pages that I do not understand.
