Movie HD Android app

I have this app loaded onto my phone and my Droidbox. Over the last week it has not worked properly. Yesterday I downloaded an "updated" version to my phone to see if it worked which it seemed to, but I haven't put it on the Droidbox yet thankfully.

Today, I am getting overwhelmed by dodgy websites and ads appearing on my phone even when the browser is off, so I must assume I have downloaded a rogue, it says it is version 4.4.8. the issue is that I am not getting an option to uninstall it in my app settings, so I can't get rid of it. Can anybody help with this, and if so also advise of the correct website to download the real Movie HD apk file from. Thanks in advance!

I've had this with a dodgy showbox version.
Download and run malware bytes.
It should detect the malware and as part of the reporting, give you the option of deleting the app as well as cleaning up all the crap.
I get my version of movie HD from the rawapk site but I may just be lucky with a clean version.

Thanks a lot - got rid of the bugs, now to try Movie HD again!!
