Hi, I upgraded via droidbox wizard earlier today, and noticed that although the box recognised my sd card,,it shows as mounted etc, xbmc doesnt, not able to select pvr option via system menu, do I need to alter anything else?

Ah right, thanks for that info, will the box just use the sd card as storage or does it need specifying?

The SD card will mainly only be used when you specify it as a location for storing something (as some devices won't have memory cards inserted, app/add-on writers leave the default as the internal storage space), or if you manually copy something onto there, such as media you want to watch, and have already downloaded on a PC etc.

@daveejay - Main storage for actual apps and their data? Rather than just downloaded content?

There are several approaches to doing this, from dropping to the shell and issuing commands to apps that attempt to automate the process for you.
DirectoryBind is a program I used a few years ago on a GingerBread based phone, I'm not sure how well it operates on our JellyBean and KitKat based devices, but worth a look probably. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/themes-apps/tool-directorybind-data-to-externalsd-t1410262

Link2SD does something similar, but I don't think I've ever tried it - http://www.noypigeeks.com/android/tutorial-a-guide-to-link2sd/

If the research and work required to properly investigate those two seems too much, I'd reconsider wanting to move your apps over to your External SD. Apart from anything else, you may well find that your internal memory is faster than an external memory card. If you store all non-app data externally, and just keep internal storage for apps, cache and app's internal data, you shouldn't run out of space too quickly.

@gwbuk1 - Please feel free to start your own thread next time - not meant as an admonishment, just that I almost missed your post here! If you download XBMC from the official site, our Wizard won't be included. Gotham is 13.2, you realize that if you have v14 (Kodi) it is only a Beta right now? I'm not sure how well our Wizard and the add-ons it installs will work with Kodi.
Anyway, feel free to experiment, but if you come across any major problems, the first reaction you'll get from tech support will be to downgrade to the latest stable release of Gotham first.
To get the DroidBOX Wizard, please e-mail us ( [email protected] ) with your request, including a link to your post ( http://www.droidboxforums.com/posts/2363 ) as well as the info mentioned here - http://droidboxforums.com/threads/what-to-include-if-you-need-to-e-mail-us.364/
