You can try contacting the author (there is a contact option in the menu somewhere I think), but I've not had any response from them yet (there is an update for the app, but it has been removed from the Play Store at Google). To grab the APK, open up ES File Explorer and navigate to System/Preinstall. Copy the APK to an external device or e-mail it to yourself.
If that doesn't work or you can't find the APK, you could use a backup/restore application to export it, there may be one installed on your device, if not try Titanium Backup Root - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup&hl=en

OK, insert the flash drive into your DroidBOX device, open up the ES File Explorer application, and navigate to the root of your device ( / ), then head to /mnt/ . Look for a folder with USB in the name. usb_storage is on possibility. From there, locate your USB device, navigate to the folder you put the APK file in, and open it. You'll be asked if you want to install. Confirm you do. If you're warned your security settings won't allow this, then head to Android Settings>Security and allow installations from non-trsuted sources or a very similar option. Open the APK file again, and it will install.
Head to the list of all installed applications on your device, and Live Sport Pro should now be there.

Ooops. I didn't think to check who posted that! Sorry Paul. Dropbox.com is a good place to throw files up and share from. You may be able to attach it to a PM (conversation) with the OP

Although I successfully installed live Sports on my Nexus 5, the Doidbox is a different matter.
I have downloaded the APK, but can't find the notification area where it has been downloaded to. All I have is a download complete arrow at the top of the screen on the left. File Manager doesn't show the file which opened and installed easily on my Nexus 5

Using File Manager or ES File Explorer, navigate to the download folder (probably something like /sdcard/download , /mnt/sdcard/download or similar). Click on the APK file and you should be ready to install.

Thanks - I am getting to the limit of my Android abilities. I downloaded ES File Explorer, and to my surprise found the APK for Live Sports on the first page when I opened it. Installed correctly.
First Question: how do I get it to be available on the desktop launcher or in Video Addons. To get to the program I went to XBMC - Programs - Android Apps and scrolled down a long way to get to Live Sports Pro. Looks very promising, though I could only get sound for one and I couldn't get another to work at all. Most others seemed to be enabled.
Second question: live Sports, when first opened told me that there was an updated version of the app, and did I want to update. Clicking update resulted in 'File not found'. Fortunately I had been through the process on my Nexus phone and received an update link - http://goo.gl/Y91Sz2, which when copied from their mail comes out as http://goo.gl/JfAzvf
I downloaded this via ES File Explorer, but then I couldn't find it in downloads. I hope this wasn't a dodgy file!
Any ideas how to update via the Android version on my M8? It went easily on the Nexus.

Third question: the picture size has today expanded so that it is larger than the screen, making it difficult to select certain icons on the edges. Is there a way to adjust picture size?

Many thanks in advance!

You're not getting to the limit of your Android abilities, you're expanding them!

To add the application to your launcher is normally fairly easy, it depends which launcher you have on your device. If you can see an Add button somewhere on the launcher's homescreen, click it, locate Live Sports and tick it.

If you can't see an Add button, bring up the list of all installed Android applications (from your launcher, not XBMC), locate Live Sports, and try long-clicking on the icon. With some launchers (including the default Android one), this will allow you to create a new shortcut on your homescreen.

To add a shortcut to the app within XBMC itself, head to the System menu in XBMC. From there, you want Appearance, then Skin Settings.
The exact name of the next menu you need will differ, depending on which skin you're actually using.

http://goo.gl/Y91Sz2 links to _andapk_fifalivetv_v2.apk
and http://goo.gl/JfAzvf links to _andapk_pub_lst_v2.apk . I couldn't find much useful on the first file, and for the pub lst file, there was an Arabic language forum where someone suggested using, translated version here - http://translate.google.co.uk/trans...7/archive/index.php/t-565574.html&prev=search

If you get too lost trying to locate downloaded files, you could search for them with ES File Explorer, as long as you know part of the filename. Click the search icon at the bottom (with a magnifying glass) and type in the name of what you are looking for - though I'd be surprised if it wasn't in the download folder!

I think it was Live Sport that recently had an update that didn't work on some devices - if this proves to be the case on your model, head to Android's Settings>Apps>Live Sports/Live Sports Pro and check if you can uninstall the update. If not, uninstall entirely, and use the original APK to reinstall the earlier version. (If you can't see an Apps submenu when you open settings, click on the last tab and select the More/Advanced Settings button).

Re the picture size, is that JUST in Live Sports, in XBMC or with ALL Android apps, and the launcher itself?

If all apps have been effected, head to Android's Settings and look for a Display/Screen submenu, there should be options there related to changing the screen scaling and resolution. Check which settings look best on your screen, and if it goes completely blank at any point, don't click anything for 20 or so seconds, and the device should automatically revert to your previous settings.

I thought I'd post this here rather than open a new thread, does anyone know if this app has been closed down? It hasn't worked for me for a few weeks now and I was wondering if anyone knows why?

Does it just need an update? If yes, has anyone got a link? So many questions!!

I usually use sports devil to watch sports but until this problem with the update is sorted I'm screwed so was hoping to use this.

Not too sure if it's working or not as I can't check it at the moment. Have you tried downloading World Sports Streams? There is a link for it in this forum entitled HD Cinema and WSS which should help you out.

@Bald Eagle - Re Live Sports, the app itself isn't intrinsically broken, however the links to streams have not been updated in a long time it appears.
I've got version 1.1 installed on my EM8, and if you scroll all the way down to CNBC, (which I think it a freely available legal stream) it works fine. However, the first 5 popular sports channels I tried to view didn't work. Also worth considering is the Phoenix add-on in XBMC, try the different collections there.

I'll give that a go when I sort out the XBMC wizard issue, hopefully soon as the Gaelic football is on tonight and Celtic are playing some new club on Sunday!!
