In Libreelec go into settings - appearance and change the skin to confluence.
You should now see a return to android option in the shut down menu.
Build developers often dont account for librelec and use skins which are android only compliant.

Is there any word of this becoming an OTA any time soon. The reason I ask is that I would like to keep my set up the way it is without having to start from scratch. I know you can back up but I would need someone to walk me through this procedure Sorry to sound daft

I did the firmware update box keeps on rebooting while watching something when it reboots back have no internet have to unplug ethernet and plug back in to get internet how can I fix

Have you tried a factory reset yet?

I factory reset it and it still reboots and when it comes back up no internet have to unplug the ethernet cord plug back in

We do not have any details on LibreElec 9 as yet. In the past it is generally a few months after a major version release once Kodi has received a few bug fix updates.

Its looking like amlogic chipsets S9xx minimum requirement, ruling out this device

Yes T8 mini will be fine it has the S9xx chipset, T8s plus only has the S812

T8s Plus V1 (this thread) is a few yrs older than the T8 mini Dave. Will not get an android update past the current 5.1.1 f/w due to the S812 chipset. Still my goto box tho, av thrown a lot at it over the yrs

It does support USB Memory Stick but unfortunately we can not guarantee the memory stick will be recognised in the recovery menu. You can try and see if it recognises it in Recovery, if it does then it should be fine to use.
