Launcher not running on boot

Hi
I just rebooted my box and the launcher is not running
I know the box is running because I have home automation stuff that relies on the box that are still working but it's not showing the home screen, I'm just getting the blue island screen
What can I do?

Was you using the original launcher? Does pressing the Home button on the IR remote do anything, if you was using a different launcher you may get a prompt to open a launcher.

A factory reset may be another option. You can follow the guide at https://droidbox.co.uk/how-to/accessing-your-droidboxs-recovery-menu/ for how to do this. Note: It will reset your device back to how it was when first used.

Yes it's the original launcher.
Pressing the home button does nothing, just stays on the blue island.
I was hoping not to do a factory reset, there's loads of stuff on there I rely on

Strangely after rebooting 3 or 4 times Lighthome is now running, apart from it won't list my apps.
Is there any way to reinstall Lighthome?

Done a factory reset now and it's still doing the same.. getting stuck on the blue island screen

I would recommend reinstalling the firmware. If you have a T8-S Plus v1 then you can follow the guide at https://www.droidboxforums.com/threads/firmware-links-for-t8-s-plus-v1-devices.10001/ . Thanks, I have followed the guide and just keep getting error messages saying it cant mount the sd card

Try using a less than 32GB card and format it using SD Memory Card Formatter at https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/ then add the firmware image. If this does not work you can try the second method of flashing with a PC.
