Is there any date for a Kodi update to the X7 ?

Keep getting an error message on XBMC startup about wring version ,

Our current devices does not support the newly released KODI but hopefully it will be included in the updates that we will be realeasing next year!

I've downloaded Kodi to the X7 but of course it's useless whilst Gotham is installed . A lot of my mates got droidboxes recently after seeing mine , they are great wee boxes [emoji106]

Very close... we don't yet officially support Kodi (which is both v14 of what we normally call XBMC & is the most recent build since Gotham, AND the new name for XBMC as an app) on our devices.
However, the T8(/M8/EM8), X7s, Q7, recent 4K devices and perhaps even V9 //may// well work with Kodi. We don't officially support that.
If you are happy uninstalling an app, asking for our wizard, manually installing an add-on, then feel free to experiment.

Kodi may well require you to turn on advanced settings as a view in the System menu options, and perhaps disable/restrict types of video acceleration. You may even push some of the earlier AmLogic based devices such as the iMX6 and M6 to work, but unless Gotham/Kodi has a killer features missing in Frodo/Gotham respectively, I'd stick with what works, at least until a .1 or .2 release occurs.

I have an x7 and installed Kodi 14.0. The droidbox skin works fine apart from a couple of shortcuts like droidbox wizard wont actually enter the wizard menu. I simple when into skin settings and overridden the droidbox wizard with the one shown in programs and now it works. Do take note that some addons installed via wizard wont work maybe down to either compatibilies or problem with the shortcut like mentioned earlier.

Spmc is great by the way so i think its best to stay with this until 14.1 or 14.2 as advised by SS.
