Hi all
New guy to the site. I've got a very strange issue with the kodi app disappearing from my new x95 box a few days after being installed. I can't fiqure out why this happens. I have to keep going onto playstore and reinstalling it. Can normally fiqure most issues out, but this one has me stumped.

Are you sure the app is not lurking in the "other" or "more apps" page rather than disappearing? It may be that you are simply downloading versions on top of your already existing install.

Thanks for the reply bud. Tbh, I can find no evidence of it in my downloaded files and I cannot find the app or shortcut ect anywhere , and when I go to the playstore, it gives me the option to download again. Everytime I've tried to download the app when it's on the machine, it only gives the option to update or remove.

If you've just bought the box from Droix maybe drop their support a line. In the meantime maybe a factory reset would clean things up to allow a successfull reinstall.
Btw if you are downloading from the google play store you will not see the apk in your "downloads" folder.
You might also check android settings - apps (or similar) to see if it is there.
Are you trying to launch it from the home screen kodi icon? It is possible the link to the actual app is broken.
I'm still of the view that it is there but not on the home screen (or accessible from it).

Hi thanks for reply, the box I'm using has 3 home screen menus. It normally has the shortcut in the centre screen, but this soon disappears after around 3 days on being there. I've also checked in settings /installed apps / but it goes from there also. I have 2 other boxes the same and this doesn't happen on those. Kinda thinking the box might have a fault of some kind as its only 2 weeks old. Tbh, if its not in settings / apps installed. As it usually is, I don't know we're else it could be hidden

This is definitely an odd issue. Are any other apps being deleted automatically, or is it just Kodi?

Have you tried installing Kodi via an APK directly instead of the Play Store?

Have you considered a factory reset (or perhaps a firmware reflash) as well? Could be something shaky with the installation.

Tbh, I'm feeling its a software issue. I've never had this happen before and can't fiqure out why it's self deleting, but it deffo is. Removes completely for the device. Have done a factory reset via the rear pin button. If that doesn't solve it after I've now installed again. I'm gonna get onto the seller of the box and either get a replacement or advice on resolving this. The box is only 2 weeks old so probably easier to exchange. Thanks for info guys
