Internet connection

I'm new to all of this installed my T8-S plus I can connect the wifi but not the Ethernet. I know the cable works but just says not detected.
Any help appreciated.

Try going into settings and see if you can switch ethernet on. Theres an either/or check box.

Looked in settings there is no either or check box unless I'm missing something.
In setting it says Ethernet not connected I would prefer this over wifi for stability......

Im going to show you 2 ways of connecting to wifi or ethernet depending on how your home screen looks.

My screen looks nothing like yours I'm using a T8-S plus could be a different operating system?

You should be able to find android settings. Look in the android apps pages for example

If your home screen looks anything like the following, the cogs icon in the bottom row will take you to settings

Yes it looks like that and I have found the settings through this but it says no Ethernet connection

When you hit the cogs, click the network tab. Unclick WiFi box and click Ethernet. You should see an Ethernet connected message.. If yours is not working then the first suspicions are a faulty Ethernet lead or a poor connection. Make sure both ends are seated securely. Try another lead.

Funny because it works on my play station ok.

Will tp links plug work on these boxes as i get my box tomorrow would like the options of using both as the box may get moved round the house so be handy if it could.

Need help!!! I have just had BT fibre installed today and now nothing is working on kodi. Can not watch anything won't find the links. Any help would be greatful.

Check the board. There are some instructions on switching off BT child safe etc which is blocking your connection.

which ever way you use to connection you have to turn off/un tick then select the one you want
