Hi,
I have recently installed xbmchub on my box and it worked fine. A couple of hours later I was watching a movie and the box freezed during buffering. Turned the box off and on but noticed that wi-fi was not working. It always says ' Turning wi-fi on...' but does not find any wireless access points. My wireless access point works fine with other devices. Then I have tested with an ethernet cable and the internet works without problems. Trying to solve the wi-fi issue, I have done some research and tried the following but to no avail:
1. Did a factory reset from Settings
2. Deleted the wpa_supplicant file and rebooted
3. Finally decided to upgrade the firmware via flash drive as described here http://www.droidboxforums.com/threads/firmware-upgrade-instructions-for-imx6-devices.31/ . I have managed to wipe the cache partition and do a wipe data/factory reset but when it came to update the firmware the installation was aborted (see photo). I have rebooted the system and the box started switching on (blue light) but nothing comes on screen. A photo of the original firmware that came with the box before doing the upgrade is attached. I hope I have chosen the right firmware to do the upgrade.
I have also tried the blind firmware method as explained here http://www.droidboxforums.com/threads/problem-with-my-imx6-droidbox.55/#post-69 several times . I have tried upgrading the firmware again as in no. 3 above but to no avail. The box switched on but I am getting nothing on screen. I guess I have bricked my Android TV Box :-( .
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Regards
Jason
