Hieha TV Box (MXQ-4k) no Internet?

Hi All...

Bought one of these boxes off eBay, too cheap to be true I know... It runs Android 6.01

It was working fine, however it now drops the Internet connection wether it be LAN or Wireless. It shows the IP address etc in settings but cannot connect via kodi, app store etc.

I've read on here to give it a static ip which I have done and set it on the router but sadly still doesn't work.

The only way to get it to work is to hard reset it which brings the internet connection up for a while.

I might just bin it as it doesn't work on the LG SMART TV only on the other non smart TV.

Any advice welcome.. I may have missed something.

Might be worth asking the supplier/manufacturer about a different firmware that could be tried.
If there aren't any, check sites like http://freaktab.com/forum for 3rd party firmwares (just make sure they are compatible before you flash).
Failing that, is it within the warranty period still?

Thanks for the links, I did think of looking at upgrading firmware... I gave it a static ip bit didn't work, so factory reset it and it all works again. I'll try those links, it was only £18 so can afford to have a mess about!
