Hi I am a 60 year old newbie that lives abroad bought your box which is great for expats.
My problem is during a film after a hour the box freezes I have to start again and never seem to get the end of a film not sure what I have done wrong .Gordon

Hi it is navi x I use just seems to play for about an hour then stops checked my internet and that seems to run ok

Dont use navix there are loads to play movies the ones i use is mashup a genesis do u have either or these

I never use Navix either. Icefilms is generally good and I always use vidics especially for tv series. If your movie starts to buffer then try pausing it for a bit. I will generally pause whatever I want to watch and go and make a cup of tea. By the time that is done and I start the movie or episode I will always get seamless playback with no interruptions.

Try using primewire it has a good search and some good streams. When I first used xbmc I also used to have films freezes and saw advice to use xbmc maintenance tweaks and to select 0 cashe advanced xml. This makes the movie continue to cashed to storage instead of using up ram if you pause for a while as pointed out earlier.

Thanks for all the tips I'm getting there slowly with the box it's been a learning curb for me next thing for me is to put a VPN on it would that help with watching some of the UK stuff?
Sorry if they sound stupid questions but just trying to get my head round the box as where I live no one has even heard of them.

@gordon - See this thread - Not in the UK, but want to watch TV from home? if streams from UK companies aren't playing because you're not in Britain at the time. There are other VPN services, but Tunnel Bear give you 500mb for free, so you might as well try it out before committing to spending any money.

Followed the instruction for the above link .it installed and I verified the link turned it in said I was in the uk but all the apps I clicked into said that I was outside Uk
What have I done wrong

You need to make sure UK is selected, and that it is definitely turned on.
When in doubt... reboot.

When Tunnel Bear shows that it is turned on, and UK has been selected, pop over to the Android browser, and visit http://WhatIsMyIP.com - it will clearly show you which country your reported IP address is in.

If you're not 100% certain, then turn Tunnel Bear OFF, revisit http://WhatIsMyIP.com and make sure it displays a different IP address from a moment.

When you installed tunnel bear, did it also install and start the tun.ko driver installer? If that did appear, what did you click on?

No just installed it and rebooted then turned it on and said I am in uk
