I received my new Droidbox T8-S Plus yesterday, when trying to install addons Kodi keeps hanging or crashing, big disappointment to be honest, tried Kodi on android and crashes / hangs, Openelec give error messages or hangs .. have tried addons such as areswizard, wookie and The beast .... is it the box that's faulty as I have loaded wookie on my HTC M8 Eye with no issues?

Are you using wifi or ethernet?
Can you run a speedtest and report results here?

32.50 download 9.73 upload .. that's from my phone, should I test on box? WiFi

Yes on the box. Im trying to detect whether the internet connection to the box is a possible source of the problem. Use an app like speedtest. Think it is preloaded on droidboxes or get from google play.

We will take it from there.

Have you been to u tube put in model there is a very good set up video on there about 9 mind long

Ok Ecker. So we can rule that out.
Can you reload wookie please on android only first. And put the wookie lite build on. Then try one of the Addons like exodus or Phoenix and see what you get.

Important: before doing so, please ensure any parental controls from your isp are "off" plus if BT, smart set up is set off.

It's all good, called Droid box today and they think hardware issues so sending back tomorrow and they will look at it repair or send another. Hopefully be up and running by next weekend . Thank you all for the help
