Help Openelec keeps buffering

We're having huge problems with films buffering in openelec. I've Googled the problem and the solution seems to involve creating an advanced settings file and adding it to your userdata folder. Does anyone know how to access the userdata folder in openelec? I'm using my DroidBox and accessing this folder in Android is pretty straight forward. But When I'm running openelec, I can't see anyway to get to this folder. When in openelec where do I go to get to /storage/.kodi/userdata/ ?

Hi, you can try AresWizard it has the option to edit the advancedsettings.xml

ok found the advanced settings option. Any idea what settings I should use to fix the buffering problem?

Try the auto settings, then reboot the box see if it helps. most of the time the buffering problem will come from the source rather than your box.
