So i have this problem where i have to manual reconnect the ethernet every time i boot up my android TV box, it doesn't automatically detect an ethernet connection whenever i start it up. Is there any way to fix this?

Someone had similar problems with an imx6 box a year back. Read through the thread with symptoms and possible solutions.

https://droidboxforums.com/threads/imx6-android-mxq-ethernet-issue.2212/

In this case, the advice was ultimately to return the droid box so check your purchase information. If no-one comes up with a more obvious solution to the ones quoted in the thread, suggest you contact online support direct via email.
First to confirm diagnosis and next steps.

From what i read in that thread, he couldn't get ethernet to work at all. The ethernet on my device works fine but i have to disable and enable my ethernet every time it is rebooted for it to get an ethernet connection. Otherwise, whenever it is rebooted, it does not detect an ethernet connection unless i disable and then enable it. It might not seem like a huge problem but it is a minor inconvenience for me.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Can you please try to factory reset your device by following the below video and see if that resolves the issue:

I previously tried software reset via settings, and today i tried hard reset using your method, both didn't work. It also installed a pre determined list of apps whenever i factory reset the android box. I thought that factory reseting the device would wipe every pre existing settings but it didn't.

Factory reset will not wipe the pre existing settings on the device but it will wipe all the data and other manually installed Applications from the device and then device will be back to normal position.

In any case, i tried doing the hard reset and it did not fix my problems.

Is the box still under warranty iselore? it looks like you may have to return the box to droidbox to be fixed (I'm assuming it is a droidbox btw).

If factory reset doesn't work then please email us your Order details on [email protected] and we will check it out.
