Just wondering about the HDMI-CEC function, will the droid box automatically switch to the correct TV Channel when it is switched on?

It may depend on the TV if it supports it. But generally the device that switches on the TV will change the TV source to that device. For example if your box is connected to HDMI-1 then switching it on will change to HDMI-1 on the TV. But it depends if the TV supports it or not.
